Setback and moving forward! :)

Well, I wasn't able to go to the Schuyler Fisk concert. On the day of the show, my body decided "Hey, you haven't had a fever in awhile...let's give you one girl!" I woke up to body aches, chills and a classic fever. My head also felt like it was split in half. Boo. I had lovely people update me on the show though, so I'd like to take a time out and say thanks! My evening instead consisted of catching up on programing with the DVR and letting my mind travel nowhere, but it felt good to just relax in my PJ's.

No travel updates right now to speak of, but I've narrowed down my choices to San Diego, Orlando, Los Angeles, or Tucson. Can you tell I'm craving a warm place? :) Has anyone reading this been to these places? gives me an idea on these areas. While reading one of my favorite blogs, I checked on Alaska just for fun. There is a section on every town Hailey, if you want to check that out!

In addition to travel plans, I've begun volunteering at our local animal shelter and taking cooking classes as I save up. My puppy is NOT happy of my new activites, since it means less time with him.

I want to say sorry in advance Noah, since you aren't coming with me.

  1. Thanks for the citydata tip. I will check it out. I have been to San Diego, Orlando, and Los Angeles! I cannot tell you much about San Diego or Orlando as my trip was very limited. San Diego seems very busy and full of culture. I was there to pick up a kid whose Mama ran off with him after he suffered a skull fracture when I worked for the Department of Human Resources. Sooo, my trip was tainted. Orlando was limited to Disney World. BUT, my sister lives in Los Angeles...I have been there many times! City life isn't for me but lots of people absolutely love it in L.A. California is a beautiful state. I doubt I'd be able to help out more than citydata but if you have any questions I try to answer them myself or find answers through my sister. She's lived there 10 years now.

  2. Oh, I just remembered! I follow the blog of a girl who lives in Tucson! It is fun to read. Here is the link.

  3. Thanks so much for all the info! (My aunt lived in LA, San Jose and San Diego when I was young...not old enough to remember) I'm sorry your trip to San Diego was tainted by a horrible incident. :(

(I realized I spelled your name wrong. Oops. :( )

My long term goal is to move to one of the places I'll visit (hopefully cheaper then the NY area. Doubt it'll be LA)

    Thanks again!
