Happy New Year!

Well 2010 ended rather uneventfully, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. My two brothers, friends, and three of my cousins went to Times Square last night to watch the ball drop. I decided that I would have rather pulled my own teeth than be crammed in with millions of people unable to move or go to the bathroom for hours. Instead, I put on my Pj's and watched everything from the comfort of my living room with Dad. 2010 was such a strange year of highs and lows. Attending the funeral of a teenage boy one month, and a joyous wedding the next. Meeting new friends. Another friend getting engaged. I wondered what 2011 would bring?

This is the year that our family will be splitting up and embarking on new adventures. Part of me was a little nervous at this realization, but mostly excited at what the year would bring. I've decided 2011 will be the year of trying new things, of joy and wonder.

  1. Wow it is cool that your brothers, friends, and cousins went to see the ball drop. I am with you on sitting it out! BUT, since you are obviously close enough to make it happen, I would recommend going at least once in life. But maybe you didn't ask for my 2 cents. Maybe you've already been anyway. Maybe it is none of my business. Maybe I should shut up now. Ok. Happy New Year my blogging friend!
